Compass Boat Rentals operates compassboatrentals.com. This policy describes how we handle personal information collected through our website, booking services and communications about a rental. Other websites linked from this site have their own privacy practices.

When you send a booking question, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the topic of your question, group size, dates you are considering, your message and, if provided, how you heard about us. Some fields are optional. Please do not put payment card numbers, identification documents or other sensitive information in the message.

Reservations

Our booking provider, FareHarbor, processes reservations and payments. Booking information can include contact details, the boat and dates selected, guest information and information needed to complete payment. Compass receives reservation details needed to manage your rental. Our contact form does not collect payment card details.

Website visits

Our hosting and security services may record technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, request time and pages requested. Google Analytics on our production website measures visits and interactions, including pages viewed, approximate location, device information and referral sources. Cookies and embedded services are described below.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to answer questions, return callbacks, process and manage reservations, arrange delivery, communicate about your rental, maintain business records, protect the website and improve its performance. Sending a question does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

When We Share Information

Booking and payment services

We share booking information with FareHarbor and the payment services involved in completing your reservation. FareHarbor provides booking technology for Compass; using its booking flow does not remove Compass’s responsibility for the information we use. Review the notices presented during booking for additional information about payment and booking processing.

Website hosting and support

BigScoots hosts our website. Our website support provider may access form submissions and receive copies of form notifications to help maintain the website and resolve delivery or technical issues.

Email delivery

Brevo delivers website form notifications. The information you enter in the form is included in the notification sent to Compass and our website support provider. Our website and email systems may retain submissions and delivery records for follow-up and troubleshooting.

Google services

Google Analytics helps us understand website use. The Google Map on our Contact page helps you find the pickup location; loading it connects your browser to Google. These services may receive technical information and use cookies under Google’s privacy practices. Google Search Console reports search performance and does not itself place a visitor cookie on this website.

Other disclosures

We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably needed to address fraud, protect safety or establish and defend legal rights. We do not sell personal information collected through our website or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Service-provider disclosures described here support the operation of the website and rental service.

Retention and Security
